Bellevue Court, Brighton.

This flat was a one bedroom unit which we gutted and revamped into a two bedroom flat. When we started, it was a in a 1970's timewarp. It had only been papered and decorated once in its 20 year life. The budget for this project was 15,000. This included a complete new kitchen and bathroom. New heating. New lighting. Dividing the main room. New carpeting throughout and decorating. The investment of 15,000 increased the value of the flat by 55,000. NB. There are no pictures of the main bedroom.

The Hallway.

The Hall.

The hall was stripped and re-papered. The walls and woodwork were painted brilliant white. The carpet is a light oatmeal Berber Twist. Door furniture is all chrome. Celing lights are Brushed Chrome with halogen lamps.

The Lounge, views towards the sea.

The Lounge

The lounge has been done entirely in white, with the now familiar oatmeal berber twist carpeting. All electrical points are polished chrome. Centre lighting is Chrome and Halogen. The original room was divided to make a second bedroom or dining room.

Feature glass brick wall.

The Glass Wall.

The lounge was divided using glass bricks as seen here. This was done to create a feature and to create light into the extra room.

Bedroom 2 or Dining Room

Bedroom 2

This is the reverse side of the glass wall into the second bedroom that can also be used as a dining room. White paintwork throughout, and chrome fittings for the electrical sockets. Halogen lighting on the ceiling. Oatmeal berber carpeting.

The new kitchen.

The Kitchen.

This is a totally brand new kitchen. Floor, wall coverings, units and Lighting. It includes a full height fridge-freezer, steam oven (de Dietrich), hob, stainless steel extractor hood, polished work tops and wasing machine. As an extra feature, there is a plinth heater to keep your feet warm on those cold winter mornings.

Bathroom.

The Bathroom.

This room was gutted, the yellow suite simply had to go. As did the mosaic mirror tiles on the walls. Instead, there is a modern white suite. Large format wall tiles, mirror over the bath, Wall mounted hot air blower and Italian marble floor. Chrome & Halogen ceiling light and chrome and halogen spotlight over the mirror.
